Treating with Medications:

Response = stabilization of blood glucose levels in the normal range with orally administered, age-appropriate carbohydrates.

 

Partial response = distinct reduction in need for glucose, but not upon age-appropriate carbohydrate intake.

Enriching diet with carbohydrates and/or nightly probes required.

 

Medications:

  • Diazoxide
  • Octreotide
  • Glucagon

 

Note: Up to the age of about 8 weeks, spontaneous healing may occur (transient form)!
