MRI:
The 47-year-old male patient presented with a right thalamic pilocytic astrocytoma. The tumor was completely resected via a transventricular approach. One month after the operation the patient was admitted with an increasingly serious gait disorder, headaches and fine motor disturbances. The MR imaging showed a huge increase in the size of the right temporal and occipital horn and the dorsal areas of the cella media.

In order to determine the ideal entrance point and for intraoperative orientation, the operation was performed under neuronavigational guidance.
