MRI:
The 46-year-old female patient presented with mental deterioration and unspecific paresthesia in the left half of the body. MR imaging showed a colloid cyst on the roof of the third ventricle, which led to a bilateral foramen of Monro blockage with consecutive dilation of both lateral ventricles.
Navigation:
The endoscope sheath was inserted under neuronavigational guidance. The burr hole was selected far lateral and far frontal on the right side in order to achieve a good overview of the attachment of the cyst on the roof of the third ventricle.
