The staff of the Section Epidemiology of Health Care and Community Health is primarily concerned with population based and clinical research projects and studies in the fields of health services research and epidemiology. Our principal objectives are both the improvement of health of the regional population and the maintenence of a high quality health care in the region.
Thematic focus of the projects and studies are:
- Epidemiology of health care, analyses of the health system
- Translation of research results into the real life health care system
- Development, implementation and evaluation of new concepts in medical health care and prevention
- Analytical epidemiology and analyses of risk factors
Furthermore, we provide our clinical partners with assistance and advice in the processing of research projects in terms of design (scientific concepts and implementation). In addition, we offer support in the health care related analysis and interpretation of both routine data from internal sources (e.g. University Medicine of Greifswald) and external sources.
