The Ernst Moritz Arndt University Greifswald Clinic and Polyclinic for Pediatric Surgery has been in existence since 1969. Together with the Clinic and Polyclinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, it is a tertiary, maximum care center.
We treat all surgical illnesses in premature infants and newborns, infants, pre-school and school-age children as well as adolescents up to 16 years old or, in special cases, even older. Frequently-occurring pediatric surgical illnesses fall within our spectrum of care as do rare, complex problems requiring highly specialized treatment.
The clinic is staffed of 7 members and the clinic has pediatric nurses who are specially trained in the treatment and care of children and specialize in pediatric surgery.
